Josh and I are almost halfway through our trip around Tennessee. This past week we spent visiting his family in Southern Middle Tennessee. His family lives just south of Franklin, Tennessee, so on our way to visit them we stopped in Franklin. We wandered around the small square and surrounding historic homes that make up the downtown area, which has loads of cute shops and some great eateries. Downtown Franklin is a quaint little area of town, with a rich history. It was a big plantation town and some civil war battles were fought in the area. Usually when we visit Franklin, it’s to go to the bigger mall in the area. It was nice to visit a different part of town. If you ever visit Nashville and have the time to make the 30 minute drive to Franklin, we both highly recommend it!
If you’ve been following along for the past few months, you will recognize these clothes. But you may also know that Josh and I are in the process of moving to Italy, we had our apartment packed up at the end of March and are living out of suitcases two months, maybe a bit longer. Before we moved, I created a capsule wardrobe to pack into one suitcase. Therefore, the next few months you will be seeing similar pieces on rotation.
This top is one of my favorite tops that I currently own. It’s one of the first items that I picked up from Madewell and, if you’ve been following along, you may know there’s lots of Madewell clothing popping up on the blog recently. I discovered them early last year and they quickly became one of my favorite stores to shop at! They always have such great quality clothes, which can be difficult to come across at the their price point. I have always gravitated to striped tops, so when I saw a striped top that wasn’t just black and white stripes I know I just had to have it. While they don’t currently sell this shirt anymore, they always have a great selection of striped tees. Some similar items here and here.
As for my jacket, I picked it up a yard sale a earlier this year. But there are so many options available link this and this. My jeans, per usual are 721 High Rise Skinny from Levi’s. Which are pretty much the only pants I wear right now.
